Most "smart home" platforms are surveillance products you pay for. We build private clouds that stay in your house — running on hardware you own, on a network you control, encrypted from your voice to your light bulb.
Your smart home isn't one device — it's five layers of communication between your voice, your hub, and the bee-shaped chip in your light bulb. Here's what each layer does, what it speaks, and how we lock it down.
Voice commands ("turn off the porch light"), phone-app taps, dashboard clicks. With Big Tech, this audio rides up to Amazon or Google. With BDG, it lands on your private cloud — same TLS 1.3 encryption Banks use, just terminating on hardware you own.
A small Raspberry Pi 5 server, sitting on a shelf in your house. Runs the dashboard, the automation engine, and the data store. Encrypted file system. No internet required for local commands. Internet's only used when YOU explicitly want it — for remote access (WireGuard VPN) or backup.
Your edge cloud talks to bigger devices (thermostats, cameras, hubs) over your Wi-Fi or Ethernet. We use Matter 1.3 (the new open smart-home standard) wherever supported, plus WPA3 on the network. Authentication is per-device — no shared credentials means one bad device can't compromise the others.
For low-power devices — door sensors, light bulbs, leak detectors — we use Zigbee, Z-Wave, or Thread. Every Zigbee 3.0 packet is wrapped in AES-128-CCM encryption and signed against a per-network key. Devices form a mesh: each one helps relay messages, so no single point of failure. The Zigbee logo is a bee for a reason — every node in the hive helps every other node.
The data sitting on your edge server's disk — sensor logs, video clips, dashboard history, family calendar. We encrypt the whole disk with LUKS (AES-256). Even if someone walked off with the Pi, they'd get a brick. Backups are encrypted before they leave the box, with a key only you hold.
Five layers. Five encryption schemes. Every byte of your house's data — from voice command to leak sensor — is encrypted in transit and at rest. We'll show you the keys. We don't keep copies.
Personal Dashboard handles the bills + life-management side. The Private Home Cloud adds physical-world control. Pick what you need.
All bills, subscriptions, debt, recurring charges in one view. Auto-categorized. Due-date alerts. Cash flow forecast.
DASHBOARDChores, shopping lists, household inventory, family calendar, emergency contacts, vendor records.
DASHBOARDImportant docs encrypted at rest. Tax returns, IDs, leases, deeds, medical records — searchable, never indexed by anyone else.
DASHBOARDPer-room temperature, humidity, scheduled comfort modes. Integration with PulseZone-class smart thermostats.
HOME CLOUDWhole-house water shutoff, leak sensors at every fixture, flow monitoring, automatic emergency-close on leak detection.
HOME CLOUDZone-by-zone lighting via Zigbee/Matter. Scenes (Bedtime, Movie, Away, Morning). Automation tied to motion + schedule.
HOME CLOUDNFC band or app-based door access. Audit trail for every entry. Time-bound guest access. Built on the same AccessOS we ship to clinics.
HOME CLOUDLocal-only recording on encrypted disk. Motion alerts. Person/vehicle detection runs on the Pi — no AI cloud.
HOME CLOUDWhole-home energy monitoring. Solar production. Time-of-use insights. Demand-response participation if you opt in.
HOME CLOUDSmart home shouldn't mean trading your privacy for a light switch. Here's what changes when the cloud is yours.
Personal Dashboard works on its own. Add the Home Cloud when you want physical-world control. Add Business Cloud when your shop, clinic, or office needs the same thing.
All tiers include the security & privacy layer. No hidden fees. Cancel any monthly anytime — your hardware stays yours.
